This WCMX series U drill insert features advanced carbide substrate with colorful coating, each layer engineered for specific performance benefits. Specifically developed for aerospace-grade nickel alloys, chromium alloys and other superalloys that challenge conventional cutting tools. The optimized chip breaker design ensures smooth chip evacuation during deep hole drilling operations. With ISO standard geometry, it’s compatible with major U drill tool holders. Tested to deliver 30% longer tool life compared to standard inserts when machining work-hardening materials. Perfect for oil/gas, power generation and aerospace applications where material hardness exceeds HRC45.
