Pengolahan Serat Karbon

Malaysia-based carbon composite work for bodywork, covers, plates and frames. Profile cutting, CNC routing, drilling and countersinking, edge trimming and finishing — on laminate that gives you no second attempt.

What we actually make
in carbon fibre.

All eleven carbon parts in our catalogue, split by how they are built — contoured shells that take their shape from a mould, and flat laminate cut to a profile. The two need completely different processing, and it is the first thing we work out from your drawing.

Contoured shells and bodywork

Fenders, mudguards, screens, mirror housings and formed covers — parts that take their shape from a mould and are then trimmed, drilled and finished.

7 parts

Flat plates and frames

Backplates, frames, pedal plates and panels routed from solid laminate — parts defined by an outline, a hole pattern and an edge condition.

“Carbon fibre”
is not a specification.

Weave, resin, thickness and core decide almost all of the price, and none of them are visible in a 3D model. Two parts with the same outline can differ several times over in cost. These are the constructions we work with.

ConstructionDi mana letaknyaProcessing note
Twill laminate The familiar 2×2 woven look. Visible bodywork, covers, mirror housings, fenders — anywhere the weave is part of the product. Weave alignment and symmetry are cosmetic requirements. Say if the pattern must line up across a joint.
Plain weave Flatter, more uniform appearance and a tighter drape over tight radii. Common on smaller shells and detail parts. Behaves much like twill under the tool. Chosen mostly for looks.
Forged / marbled Chopped-tow appearance with no repeating weave. Used where the pattern should read as random and the geometry is complex. No fibre direction to align, but also no continuous fibre across a cut. Edges need care.
Solid plate Flat laminate sheet routed to a profile: backplates, frames, mounting panels, pedal plates, licence-plate frames. Cost tracks thickness and cut length. Internal radii and slots add more than outline area does.
Cored panel Carbon skins over honeycomb or foam. Very stiff for the weight, used where a solid plate would be heavy or flexible. Cut edges expose the core and must be sealed or closed. Plan fastener positions before, not after.
Hybrid Carbon with glass or aramid layers where cost, impact behaviour or a non-conductive surface matters more than pure stiffness. Mixed layups cut differently through the stack. Tell us the schedule if you have one.

Carbon fibre is not hard
to cut. It is unforgiving.

Metal gives you a second attempt. A delaminated laminate does not — a lifted ply cannot be filled, sanded or polished back to strength. Five things drive every decision we make on a carbon part.

The fibres do the work, and cutting them ends it. A hole through a load path is a severed load path, however neat it looks. Tell us where the load runs and what the part is bolted to, and we will put holes and edges where they cost the least strength.

Delamination happens on the way out. As a drill breaks through the back face the last ply has nothing behind it and lifts away instead of cutting. Backing the exit face, controlling feed at breakthrough and using the right point geometry is most of what separates a clean hole from scrap.

Direction matters more than speed. The material is anisotropic — it behaves differently along the weave than across it. Routing the wrong way relative to the outer ply lifts the surface on the visible face. Climb versus conventional is a decision per edge, not a machine setting.

It destroys tooling, and the dust destroys everything else. Carbon dust is abrasive and electrically conductive; it wears cutters fast and gets into anything with a bearing or a circuit. Carbon runs on dedicated setups with extraction, which is part of why the piece price is not a plastic piece price.

Cosmetic is a specification, not a preference. Gloss or matte, clear-coated or raw, weave aligned or free — these change the process, not just the look. If a face is visible on the finished product, mark it on the drawing and we will plan the layup and the trim around it.

Four operations,
chosen per part.

Every carbon job we quote resolves to some combination of these. Which ones apply comes out of the outline, the laminate and how much of the part will be visible on the finished product.

Hole positions, countersinks and edge conditions are where most carbon parts are won or lost. Our specification library covers how to call them out.
